Softly Softly (Twist).jpg

Well, we're back ....below are some of our recent results

11th Dec LKA  Judge - Jane Cule (Mordax)

Another year, albeit an odd one, over and another year done. Our home bred team did good. Young C. Ever Thus making his Champ Show debut, C. Scaramouch Jones once again winning the Puppy Dog class and this time turning the tables on his litter sister by taking Best Puppy in Breed. C. Flutter stepped up and won yet another Puppy Bitch class and C.Hostage of Fortune won Junior Bitch. Top of the shop for us today was Sh Ch Calvdale Heritage of Folly (mum to the Junior bitch winner) made a rare appearance this year and won a lovely Open Bitch class and then topped it off with the Bitch CC.

The high point in my day looking back was that the three generations of dog showing women, myself, daughter Angela and Granddaughter Elizabeth all stood in the challenge line today together.

Have a wonderful Christmas and stay safe.

Well done to those on the Committee who gave up their time and put in the effort to make it a pleasant day for all and thank you to both judges for their opinions. Delighted to see once again the super head study (I am biased) that has been used on the prize and awards cards. Ch Black Ebony of Burmon at Calvdale. 18th Sept Darlington Ch Show Judge R McMaster

11th Sept Richmond Ch Show Judge Sandra Marshall

Well the journey to Richmond was a good trip going down early in the morning. Straight drive down no problems. That journey back to North Yorkshire when you are tired is a tough one but it was made much easier in the knowledge that Granddaughter Elizabeth had handled Calvdale Flutter 6.5 month old bitch puppy to win her class (whoop), be declared Best Puppy in Breed (bigger whoop) and then to top it off this lovely pairing were awarded ❤️🎉 Puppy Group 4 ❤️🎉 by judge Gordon Haran (Biggest whoop).

Litter brother C, Scaramouche Jones (Jo) won MPD and took a lovely 2nd in the MPD stakes.

Delighted with these two youngsters and the comments made to us were warmly received and mean a lot. Thank you from us all.

27th Aug Driffield Ch Show Judge Mr D Smith

Calvdale Flutter made her debut under David Smith. Without tickets but nevertheless there was quality present and I was delighted to see this little bitch, handled by Granddaughter Elizabeth, win her Puppy class and then be awarded BP in breed. No puppy group but hey ho!. Sh Ch Calvdale Heritage of Folly JW was BB and BOS.

28th Aug North Riding Gundog Open Show Judge Shelagh Tolliday

Calvdale Flutter  BPIB and later on BPIS. Angela, still under the weather, sent Sh Ch Chanangel Sticky Wicket JW ShCM VW along in my safe keeping and he took poll position in the Veteran class and BVIS. Almost 300 dogs entered at this show. Lovely weekend and a super start to the puppy career of our 'Bea'. Thanks to the judges for these awards.

1st Aug National Gundog Ch Show Judge Jennie Trazc (Acregate)

National Gundog proved to be  a wonderful day for us. Elazlan Right of Reply at 19 months took her crowning CC. Bred by Granddaughter Elizabeth Chandler who is only 14, but a key member of our joint kennel activities. Three CC's and 1 RCC gained in a five week run, can't be bad. Margo has been handled by myself as she lives with me but no doubt she will be seen with Elizabeth at times as with a team of WSS and ESS to show we often just 'get in with it' whatever it is  that needs showing.

We work as a family, as a team and for that we are proud to be able to achieve what we collectively do.

24th July Leeds Ch Show Judge Jill Peak

Leeds Championship Show under Internationally known judge Jill Peake I was delighted to be handling my Granddaughters English Springer Spaniel bitch Elazlan Right of Reply to her second CC. At her debut at Southern Co she was awarded RCC.

Delighted beyond words.

Huge thanks to our judge Leslie Trow for seeing the promise in this lovely youngster and also for the two second places awarded to our Junior Bitch and Limit Bitch entries
